...by public transport in Vienna

The venue (main building of Vienna University of Technology) is reachable with the lines U1, U2, U4, 62 and the "Badner Bahn" (at station Karlsplatz) and also with the trams D, J, 1 und 2 (at station Opernring).

Tickets are available at the airport, at the subway stations and in tobacco shops.

The Vienna International Airport (VIE) in Schwechat is about 20 km away in the south-east of Vienna. You can find flight information as well as transportations into the city center on their website:

  • Trains S2, S7 to Wien Mitte/Landstraße (vor.at)
  • Bus service Vienna Airport Lines:
    • VIA to Wien Schwedenplatz (travel time 20 minutes)
    • VIA to UNO-City (travel time 20 minutes)
    • VIA to Wien Südtiroler Platz (travel time 20 minutes)
    • VIA to Wien Südbahnhof (travel time 25 minutes)
    • VIA to Wien Westbahnhof (travel time 35 minutes)

  • You can also get a taxi right in front of the Arrival Hall.

  • from the south and east: Südautobahn (A2) - Südosttangente - Exit Gürtel - Südbahnhof - Prinz Eugenstraße - Schwarzenbergplatz - Karlsplatz
  • from the west: Westautobahn (A1) - Hietzinger Kai - Schönbrunner Straße - Rechte Wienzeile - Karlsplatz
